The Branessa is a tall LED floor lamp made from two slim aluminium uprights in a black finish, set side by side on a square base. Each upright carries a white plastic diffuser along its upper section, and the two stand at different heights, so the lit sections step down from one bar to the next. At its tallest it stands 175.5cm high. The light source is integrated LED, with two 17W light bars each giving 2,100lm, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

This is a smart lamp for a living room, a bedroom, a home office or a reading corner, anywhere you want both useful light and colour. Through the app you can set the white anywhere from a warm 2700K for evening to a crisp 6500K for daytime tasks, dim it low, or switch to full colour-changing RGB for a film night or a party. Because the footprint is just a square base and two narrow bars, it fits beside a sofa or in a corner where a lamp with a wide shade would crowd the room. The lamp also works with a remote control, which is sold separately, for anyone who would rather not reach for a phone.

The body is aluminium and the diffusers are white plastic, giving each bar a clean line of light against the black frame. A foot switch lets you turn the lamp on and off without bending or reaching for the app. The colour temperature, the brightness and the colours are all set in the app, so changing the mood takes a moment rather than a trip across the room. Packed, the lamp weighs 4.297KG. The installation instructions come as a download, so you can read them before you begin.
