Bradbury 2 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Grey Ash

The Bradbury is a 330mm flush ceiling light with a grey ash powder-coated steel frame and two E27 bulb fittings housed behind frosted glass. The frame is formed from curved steel bands with fluted detailing running along their length, creating a sculptural profile that sits 139mm from the ceiling surface. Each E27 socket accepts a standard bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landing areas and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.4m, the Bradbury provides close-to-ceiling ambient light without the drop of a pendant or semi-flush fitting. The frosted glass diffuser softens the output from both bulbs, reducing glare and distributing light evenly across the ceiling plane. The two-bulb configuration provides enough output for rooms of 10-14m² when paired with 8-10W LED bulbs at 800-1,000 lumens each.

The grey ash finish is a mid-tone matte grey with a subtle warm undertone that sits between cool slate and warm taupe. The fluted texture on the steel bands catches light differently depending on viewing angle, adding depth to the frame without introducing colour variation. The frosted glass is opal white, providing a clean contrast against the grey frame. The Bradbury fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose with a single-point fixing concealed by the canopy.

What bulbs does the Bradbury take?

The Bradbury has two E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each rated for a maximum 60W bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 8-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedroom or hallway use.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 139mm projection from ceiling to base of frame makes the Bradbury appropriate for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above. The flush mount profile provides clearance for headroom in bedrooms, hallways and landing areas where a pendant might hang too low.

What size room does it suit?

With two E27 fittings, the Bradbury provides ambient light for rooms of approximately 10-14m² when fitted with standard 800-1,000 lumen LED bulbs. Larger rooms or rooms requiring higher light levels may benefit from pairing the Bradbury with additional wall lights or task lighting.

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

No. The Bradbury is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting only. The single-point fixing and flush canopy require a flat ceiling surface for secure installation and correct alignment of the frame and glass diffuser.
