Description
The Bowery is a 144mm cylindrical outdoor wall light with a powder-coated black aluminium body, sealed safety glass lens at the top aperture, and a single GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suited to covered porches, doorways, garage walls, and patios where direct heavy rain is not a concern.
Designed for up/down or downward-only wall mounting depending on bulb choice, the Bowery directs light through the top glass aperture when fitted with a standard GU10 spotlight. This creates a focused pool of light on the ground below or a wall wash effect upwards, depending on fitting orientation. The 64mm diameter body keeps the projection from the wall compact, working in narrow passageways and tight doorframe surrounds without protruding into walkways.
The powder-coated aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments better than painted steel, and the matt black finish maintains its appearance without showing fingerprints or water marks as readily as gloss finishes. The Bowery accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 50W, giving flexibility to choose the colour temperature and beam angle that suits the installation. The cylindrical form and minimal detailing pair with modern, industrial and Scandi-style exteriors.

Frequently Asked
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The Bowery takes a GU10 bulb up to 50W, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 5-7W GU10 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for outdoor doorway lighting.
Can it be used in fully exposed locations?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashing, so the Bowery suits covered porches, garage walls, and patios. For fully exposed positions subject to driving rain, consider an IP65-rated fitting instead.
Does the light shine up, down, or both?
The Bowery has a single glass lens at the top of the cylinder. Light direction depends on the GU10 bulb fitted — a standard spotlight directs light downwards in a focused pool; a wide-beam bulb provides more spread; a reflector bulb can be oriented to throw light upwards if the fitting is mounted upside-down.
What wall fixing is needed?
The back plate is 115mm wide and mounts to standard masonry or timber walls using two screws (fixings not supplied — choose wall plugs or screws appropriate to the substrate). The fitting weighs approximately 400g when empty.
