Description

This Schuller bottle table lamp kit converts a wine or spirit bottle into a functional table lamp using a chrome-finished lamp holder that fits inside the bottle neck and a 220mm satin white tapered shade. The kit includes a 20W E27 dimmable bulb rated at 560lm, giving warm ambient light suitable for bedside tables, buffets and side tables where character lighting is needed without a fixed table lamp.

The chrome fitting sits inside the bottle opening and holds the E27 lampholder, with the cable running down through the inside of the bottle. The satin white shade diffuses the bulb output evenly, preventing glare while keeping the bottle visible as part of the lamp's aesthetic. Suitable for standard wine bottles and most spirits bottles with a cork or screw-cap opening, the kit works with bottles of different heights and colours, allowing the base to be matched to room decor or personal taste.

The lamp measures 21cm tall with the shade in place, which suits most standard wine bottles (typically 300-310mm tall) to give an overall height of around 500-530mm once assembled. The 22cm shade diameter provides enough coverage for a bedside reading position without overwhelming a small side table. The 0.41kg weight of the kit means the bottle itself provides the stability, so heavier, full-base bottles work better than lightweight or narrow-based designs.

Designed for indoor use only with an IP20 rating, the lamp is Class 2 double-insulated so does not require earthing. The included bulb is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light levels to be adjusted for reading, ambient background or low evening light.

The chrome fitting is designed for standard wine bottles and most spirits bottles with a cork or screw-cap opening. Bottles with wider or narrower necks may not provide a secure fit. The assembly instructions PDF linked above includes bottle compatibility guidance.

Does the kit include a bulb?

Yes. A 20W E27 dimmable bulb rated at 560lm is included. The bulb can be replaced with any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 20W.
