Description

The Boreal is a 620mm white ceiling fan light with retractable blades concealed within a spirograph-patterned diffuser, controlled entirely by remote. The unit houses a DC motor that drives three blades which retract flush into the body when the fan is off, leaving only the circular diffuser visible. The integrated LED delivers 4200 lumens at 105W with tuneable colour temperature from 2700K (warm white) to 5000K (cool daylight), adjustable via the remote control.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Boreal combines ambient lighting with quiet air circulation. The 145° beam angle spreads light evenly across the ceiling plane, while the spirograph pattern creates a layered visual effect when lit. The fan operates at multiple speed settings controlled by the remote, and the blades extend automatically when the fan is activated. The white finish suits contemporary, minimalist and Scandinavian interiors where ceiling fixtures are required to integrate rather than dominate.

The DC motor draws less power than traditional AC fan motors and runs quieter, making the Boreal suitable for bedrooms where noise matters. How does the retractable blade system work?

The three fan blades are stored inside the circular body when the fan is switched off. When you activate the fan via the remote control, the blades extend automatically and begin rotating. When you switch the fan off, the blades retract flush into the body, leaving only the diffuser visible.

Can the light and fan be controlled separately?

Yes. The remote control allows independent operation of the light and the fan. You can run the light without the fan, the fan without the light, or both together. The light is dimmable and the colour temperature is adjustable between warm white (2700K) and cool daylight (5000K).

What ceiling height is required?

The 208mm body height plus the 620mm diameter means the Boreal works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings may accommodate the unit but the visual proportion and airflow effectiveness can be reduced.
