Description
The Bolonia is a 52mm diameter cylindrical pendant light in matt black, housing a 7W integrated LED with switchable colour temperature (CCT). The LED can be set to 2700K, 3000K or 4000K before installation, providing flexibility between extra-warm, warm and cool white light without needing to specify at ordering. The 36° beam angle creates a focused downward cone of light rather than broad ambient illumination.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and workspaces where directed task light is needed, the Bolonia suits ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. The drop adjusts from 280mm minimum to 2000mm maximum on installation, allowing the pendant to sit 600-900mm above a worksurface depending on the room. At 52mm diameter and 0.6kg weight, the pendant reads as a slim accent rather than a decorative centrepiece, making it suitable for use in multiples over long islands or in linear rows above bar seating.
The matt black finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping visual focus on the lit surface below rather than the fitting itself. The cylindrical body conceals the driver and wiring within its 52mm diameter, leaving no visible external hardware beyond the ceiling canopy and cable. The 7W LED output at 4000K delivers 1058 lumens, roughly equivalent to a 75W incandescent bulb concentrated into the 36° beam. The Bolonia is not dimmable and operates on 200-240V mains without requiring a separate transformer.

Frequently Asked
How is the colour temperature changed?
The CCT switch is accessed before installation by removing the canopy or base of the fitting. You select 2700K, 3000K or 4000K using a small switch, then close the fitting and install it. The colour temperature cannot be changed once the pendant is wired and ceiling-mounted without disconnecting and accessing the switch again.
Is the Bolonia dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Attempting to dim the fitting may cause flickering or damage the driver.
What drop height works for a kitchen island?
For a kitchen island or worktop, the pendant typically hangs 600-750mm above the surface, which suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The cable is adjustable between 280mm and 2000mm, so you can set the exact height during installation.
Can multiple pendants be used together?
Yes. The slim 52mm diameter makes the Bolonia well-suited to use in multiples over long islands, dining tables or bar counters. Space them 400-600mm apart for even coverage and ensure each pendant has its own ceiling rose unless using a multi-outlet canopy.
