Description

The Bolla is a 5-light chandelier built on a brushed nickel frame with curved double arms that sweep outward and upward from a central column, each arm terminating in a turned metal sphere that supports an etched opal glass shade. The chandelier measures 610mm across and 625mm from the ceiling canopy to the bottom of the frame, with the drop adjustable between 715mm and 2240mm on installation via chain. Each of the five arms holds an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately).

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Bolla provides ambient light across a spread of approximately 610mm. The etched opal glass shades diffuse the light outward and downward, softening shadows and reducing glare from the bulb filaments. The chandelier suits rooms between 15-25m², where the five-light output gives sufficient general illumination without overwhelming the space. The chain conceals the cable run and allows the drop to be shortened or lengthened during fitting to suit the ceiling height and table or floor clearance needed.

The brushed nickel finish shows a soft, low-lustre metallic surface that resists fingerprints and sits comfortably in both traditional and contemporary colour schemes. The turned spheres at each arm tip add structural balance and act as visual counterweights to the glass shades. The frame is constructed from die-cast metal components assembled with threaded fixings, giving the chandelier a total weight of approximately 5kg when fully assembled. The etched glass provides a semi-translucent diffusion that hides the bulb while allowing the warm glow of LED or filament lamps to fill the room.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chandelier hangs on a chain that conceals the cable. During installation, the chain can be shortened by removing links to reduce the drop, or left at full length for the maximum 2240mm drop. Once installed, the drop is fixed and cannot be adjusted without accessing the ceiling rose.
