Description

The Bolla is a single-light wall torchiere with a brushed nickel frame extending in a double-arm design from a circular wall plate, supporting a frosted bell-shaped glass shade that directs light upward. The frame splits into two parallel arms that curve outward and upward, each terminating in a solid sphere, with the glass shade sitting at the apex. The E27 fitting accepts a bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for wall mounting in hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms where upward ambient light is needed without a ceiling fitting. The 229mm projection from the wall keeps the glass shade clear of the wall surface, allowing light to wash upward without obstruction. The 660mm height sits comfortably between dado and picture rail height on standard 2.4m walls, giving the torchiere proportions that work in both period and contemporary settings.

The brushed nickel finish on the metal frame gives a soft satin appearance that reflects less light than polished chrome, making the fitting less visually prominent when unlit. The frosted bell glass diffuses the light source, softening the bulb outline when lit and distributing the upward wash more evenly across the ceiling. The fitting projects 229mm from the wall once installed, giving clearance for the double-arm frame and the bell glass shade. The 198mm width measurement is the span across the two arms when viewed from the front.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Bolla carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms unless installed well away from water sources and outside designated splash zones.

What height should it be mounted at?
