Description

The Bohoyo LED Downlight is a compact white cylinder that mounts on the surface of the ceiling, with an aluminium body and a clear plastic shade over its integrated LED. It stands 11cm tall and 10cm in diameter, and projects 12cm from the ceiling, so it reads as a neat, small form overhead rather than a bulky fitting. The light is a warm white 3000K with an output of 1,000lm, a generous level for a single downlight. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, so keep it away from bathrooms and splash areas.

It works well in kitchens, hallways, living rooms and studies, and a pair or a row of them over a kitchen run gives clear, focused light where you prepare food. The adjustable split body lets you direct the beam towards a worktop, a shelf or a favourite picture, which a fixed downlight cannot do. The warm 3000K tone keeps a room feeling relaxed in the evening, while the clean white cylinder sits quietly against a white ceiling and suits modern and minimal interiors alike.

The body is aluminium, a light metal, and the whole fitting weighs 0.54KG. The LED and driver can be replaced by a specialist, so a worn part does not mean replacing the whole downlight. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and has no switch of its own, so you control it from the wall switch. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
