The Bogado is an LED table lamp built around an open ring of gold-coloured steel, curving almost all the way round like a letter C and rising from a round disc base. A white plastic diffuser runs along the ring, so the integrated LED glows as one soft, continuous line of light rather than a single bright point. It stands 45cm tall, 22cm long and 15cm wide, on a base 15cm across, and the 12W LED gives out 1,883lm. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room, well away from bathrooms and kitchen sinks.

Its light is fully adjustable, which is what makes it so useful around the home. You can set the colour temperature anywhere from a very warm 2200K to a crisp, cool 6500K, and dim it to suit the hour, so the same lamp gives bright, clear light for reading or working at a desk and a low, golden glow for winding down in the evening. At 45cm tall with a compact footprint, it suits a bedside table, a sideboard in the living room, a hallway console or a home office shelf. The open ring looks good from every side, so it works just as well in the middle of a room as against a wall.

The lamp has a touch dimmer, so changing the brightness takes a light touch rather than a fumble for a switch. The body is steel in a gold colour and the diffuser is white plastic, which spreads the light evenly along the curve. Because the LED is integrated, there is no bulb to buy or change.
