Description
The Blazewood is a 185W constant voltage LED driver delivering regulated 24V DC output for LED strip lighting, architectural installations and outdoor LED fixtures requiring a stable low-voltage supply. The IP67-rated metal enclosure protects internal electronics from water immersion up to 1m depth and complete dust ingress, making it suitable for buried ground installations, wet-location exterior lighting and marine environments.
Designed for commercial architectural lighting, landscape lighting schemes and retail exterior installations, the driver handles up to 185W of continuous LED load without needing active cooling or forced ventilation. The 220mm x 68mm enclosure fits inside standard ground boxes, behind outdoor wall lights, under decking and within other concealed installation points where mains-to-LED conversion needs to happen out of sight. Input accepts 220-240V AC mains, output is regulated 24V DC.
The metal case dissipates heat passively through its ribbed aluminium construction, maintaining stable output voltage across ambient temperatures from -30°C to +60°C. The driver is non-dimmable, providing constant 24V output regardless of load variation within the 0-185W range. Wiring is via IP67-rated cable glands on both input and output ends, with strain relief preventing cable pull from loosening connections. Ideal Lux covers the unit with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
What is the maximum LED load this driver can handle?
The driver supplies up to 185W at 24V DC, which translates to approximately 7.7A maximum current. Most 24V LED strip runs at 14-20W per metre, so this driver can power roughly 9-13 metres of strip depending on density and specification.
Can this driver be dimmed?
No. The Blazewood provides constant voltage output and does not respond to dimming signals. For dimmable installations, use a PWM dimmer controller between the driver output and the LED load, or specify a dimmable driver model.
What does IP67 mean in practical terms?
IP67 means the enclosure is completely dust-tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes. It can be installed in ground boxes, buried under soil or gravel, mounted under decking, or positioned in wet locations where spray or rain ingress is expected.
Where should the driver be installed?
The driver needs adequate ventilation for passive heat dissipation despite the IP67 rating. Install in a location where air can circulate around the metal case, avoiding enclosed boxes with no airflow or insulation-packed cavities. Ground boxes, wall cavities with vent slots, and under-deck spaces all work provided air movement is present.
