Description

The Blake is a single-arm wall light in polished nickel with a clear tulip-shaped glass shade and an integrated 3W LED G9 bulb. The curved arm extends 215mm from the wall, holding the glass shade upright on a turned metal stem with a decorative banded mounting detail. The polished nickel finish on the solid brass frame reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, mirrors and bathroom fittings.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways and bedrooms, the Blake carries an IP44 rating for protection against water splashes, making it safe for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure). The 340mm height and upward-facing shade direct light onto walls and ceilings rather than into eyes at standing height, providing ambient wash lighting without glare. The fixture can be installed as a single piece flanking a mirror or in pairs either side of a doorway or headboard.

The clear glass shade shows the lamp capsule inside and softens the point-source LED without heavy frosting or diffusion, giving a balance between decorative presence and functional light output. The 3W LED at 3000K provides warm white light similar to a halogen bulb but at a fraction of the energy cost. The solid brass construction and polished nickel plating give the fitting a 1.2kg weight that feels substantial when mounted, and the finish resists tarnishing in humid environments better than uncoated brass.

Is the Blake suitable for bathroom installation?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making it safe for bathroom zones 2 and 3. It should not be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure (zone 1), but is suitable for general bathroom wall mounting away from direct spray.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Blake is supplied with a 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K colour temperature. The LED is integrated and provides warm white light similar to a traditional halogen but with significantly lower energy consumption.

Can the bulb be replaced?

Yes. The G9 LED bulb is replaceable. If the supplied LED fails or you wish to change the colour temperature, any standard G9 LED up to 3W can be fitted. The glass shade lifts off the metal stem for bulb access.

How far does it project from the wall?

The Blake projects 215mm from the wall to the outer edge of the glass shade. This suits walls with typical skirting and allows the shade to sit clear of door frames and architraves when installed flanking a doorway or mirror.
