Description
The Bismarck is a 5-light linear pendant with five hexagonal black metal frames arranged along a 1016mm linear bar, each housing an E27 bulb fitting in a brushed gold socket. The frames are welded to the central bar and suspended from a rectangular black ceiling plate on two adjustable cables, giving a drop range from 426mm minimum to 1295mm maximum on installation.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and worktops between 2.0-2.5m long, the Bismarck provides distributed task and ambient lighting across the length of the surface. The 1016mm span positions five bulbs at regular intervals, preventing the single-bright-spot effect of a single pendant over a long table. The adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface depending on ceiling height, with the cables concealing the wire run from the ceiling plate.
Each hexagonal frame is approximately 200mm across, open on all sides so the bulb is visible from multiple angles. The black metal finish is a low-sheen powder coat, while the gold sockets provide a warm metallic accent at the centre of each frame. The pendant accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W per socket (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose between warm filament-style bulbs for a decorative look or cooler LED bulbs for higher-output task lighting. The combined frame, bar and fixings give the fitting a presence of approximately 4kg when installed.
The Bismarck is part of the Quoizel collection, a US-based lighting manufacturer supplying decorative and functional fittings to residential and hospitality projects. The geometric frame style pairs with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors where structured metal fixtures are a feature rather than hidden.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Bismarck takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Each socket accepts up to 60W, giving a maximum combined wattage of 300W across all five fittings. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K for a decorative vintage look, or 10-15W LED bulbs at 3000K for higher-output task lighting over a kitchen island.
How long does it need to be above the surface?
The adjustable cables allow the pendant to be set between 426mm and 1295mm below the ceiling. For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cables are shortened during installation to suit the specific room height.
What length surface does it suit?
The 1016mm linear span distributes five bulbs across just over 1m. This suits kitchen islands, dining tables and worktops between 2.0-2.5m long, positioning the pendant centrally with balanced coverage across the surface. Shorter surfaces may appear over-lit; longer surfaces may benefit from two pendants end-to-end or a different fixture style.
Is the black-and-gold finish consistent across the range?
The black metal frame is powder-coated in a low-sheen Earth Black finish. The gold sockets are brushed gold-toned metal. Both finishes are applied at the factory and should be consistent across individual units, though natural variation in metal finishing processes means slight tonal differences may occur between production batches.
