Description
The Biscotti is a recessed outdoor wall light housing a single 3W integrated LED behind a 62mm diameter white aluminium cylinder. The LED casts warm 3000K light downwards in a single beam, typically used to mark steps, path edges, or entrance thresholds without spilling light upwards or outwards. The cylindrical housing sits 58mm proud of the mounting surface and is rated IP65 for protection against water jets and dust ingress.
Designed for recessed or surface mounting into brick, render, or timber cladding, the Biscotti suits residential garden paths, terrace step risers, commercial entrances, and walkways where low-level directional light is needed. The 3W output is sufficient to mark a single step or path section but not to flood an area — multiple units are typically spaced at 1-2m intervals for continuous path lighting. The wide-voltage driver accepts AC 100-240V, making it compatible with both UK and European mains.
The white powder-coated aluminium finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments, and the IK08 impact rating protects the fitting from accidental knocks at shin height. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light that balances visibility with a softer appearance than daylight-white LEDs. The fitting is non-dimmable and designed for permanent outdoor installation with sealed cable entries.

Frequently Asked
Is the Biscotti suitable for coastal installations?
Yes. The IP65 rating and powder-coated aluminium construction resist salt spray and high humidity. The sealed cable entries prevent moisture ingress, making it suitable for coastal gardens and seafront properties.
Can it be installed horizontally on decking or paving?
The fitting is designed for vertical wall mounting and casts light downwards. Horizontal installation on decking or paving would direct the beam sideways, which is typically not useful for path marking.
What spacing is recommended for continuous path lighting?
At 3W per unit, typical spacing is 1-2 metres between fittings for continuous low-level path lighting. Closer spacing increases brightness; wider spacing creates discrete markers rather than continuous wash.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and designed for permanent on/off switching via a standard outdoor switch or timer.
