This stoneware cycling mug puts a cheeky spin on an old wartime recruitment poster, printed in parchment beige and navy blue on a white glazed body. Under a crest, the front reads WAR OFFICE BICYCLE & LYCRA COMMITTEE, then asks DO YOU ENJOY CYCLING? above a black bicycle, with a navy band below inviting you to join the Bicycle Brigade. Turn it round and the small print lists the perks: a uniform, tight with a padded bum; travel, very slowly, into a headwind; and a medal for riding up a hill.
