Description
This silverplated trinket box takes the form of a small bible, with a cream epoxy front cover set with a raised silver cross and framed by a textured silver border. The spine is embossed with a leafy scroll pattern in four panels, the top and side edges are ridged to look like pages, and the cover opens on a hinge along the spine to show a black lining inside. The inside of the cover has a swirling patterned finish of its own, so the box looks just as considered open as it does closed. It measures 7cm wide, 9cm deep and 2.5cm high.
We think it makes a thoughtful christening gift, and it suits a communion just as well. Inside there is room for a small treasure from the day: a ring, a pair of earrings, a little cross on a chain or a folded note with the date written on it. Afterwards it can stay on a dressing table, a bedroom shelf or a bedside table, where the book shape and the cross make its meaning clear at a glance. Because it closes like a book, whatever is kept inside stays tucked away out of sight, which makes it a practical home for the small things that matter.
The body is a metal alloy with a real silverplated finish, the front panel is cream epoxy, and the cross and the border around it are silver. To keep it bright, dust it with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, which can wear a plated surface; it is happiest kept away from damp. Rectangular in shape, it can lie flat on a shelf or stand upright like a book. For a christening or communion, slip a small keepsake inside before you wrap it, so the gift is opened twice: once from the paper and once at the hinge.

How big is the bible trinket box?
It measures 7cm wide, 9cm deep and 2.5cm high. That is a compact size with room for a ring, a pair of earrings or a small folded note.
What is the trinket box made of?
The body is a metal alloy with a real silverplated finish. The front cover panel is cream epoxy, set with a silver cross and a silver border.
Is the inside of the box lined?
Yes. The box opens on a hinge like a book cover, and inside there is a black lining that gives small pieces a dark, neat place to rest.
Is it a suitable christening or communion gift?
We think it makes a thoughtful christening or communion gift. The bible shape and the cross give it a clear meaning for the day.
How should I care for the silverplated finish?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, which can wear a plated surface over time. Keep it away from damp.

Yes. Because it is rectangular, it can stand upright like a small book on a shelf, or lie flat on a dressing table or bedside table.
