Bianco Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & White Rectangular Shade

The Bianco is a table lamp built around a rectangular white alabaster column set on a brass plinth, with brass mounting hardware and a white rectangular fabric shade. The alabaster column sits vertically beside a brass sleeve on the left face, creating an asymmetric base structure that pairs natural stone with metal framework. A single E27 bulb inside the shade (sold separately) casts light downward and through the fabric, providing task and ambient light for desk work or bedside reading.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and office desks where both functional light and a visual accent are needed, the Bianco stands 67.5cm tall with a shade measuring 45cm wide by 22cm deep. The rectangular shade shape directs light horizontally across a desk surface or down onto a bedside area rather than casting it in a full circle. The IP20 rating restricts the lamp to dry interior use only, making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and studies but not bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.

The white alabaster column shows natural mineral veining that varies between individual pieces, so no two Bianco lamps look identical. The brass finish on the plinth, mounting rod and shade fittings provides warm metallic accents that pair with warm-toned interiors, brass hardware elsewhere in the room, and natural wood furniture. The fabric shade diffuses the bulb output into a soft wash, reducing glare when the lamp is used as a reading light close to eye level.

The asymmetric base design places the alabaster column slightly offset from centre, balanced by the brass sleeve on the opposite face. This creates visual interest when the lamp is viewed from multiple angles and differentiates the Bianco from symmetrical column lamps. The combined weight of the alabaster and brass base keeps the lamp stable on smooth surfaces without additional ballast.

Product Manual

What bulb does the Bianco take?

The lamp uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or desk use.

Does the alabaster vary between lamps?

Yes. Each alabaster column is cut from natural stone, so the veining, mineral patterns and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the natural material.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Bianco to dry interior locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use, even under cover.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and should be cleaned gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.
