Description

The Bianca is a 735mm semi-flush ceiling light built from overlapping curved acrylic panels with a crackled texture, housing an integrated 40W LED array that produces 2450 lumens at 3000K. The white acrylic forms are shaped into asymmetric curves and layered to create a sculptural profile that projects 225mm from the ceiling, giving the fitting a three-dimensional presence rather than sitting flat against the surface.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Bianca provides ambient lighting across a wide 120-degree beam angle. The crackled texture inside each acrylic panel diffuses the LED light evenly, softening the output and hiding the individual LED sources from view. The semi-flush mount keeps the fitting clear of head height while maintaining enough projection to cast light across a room measuring 4-5m square.

The acrylic panels show their textured grain most clearly when the light is on, creating a pattern of refracted light across the surface. When switched off, the white finish presents as a clean contemporary sculpture without visible hardware. The 2450lm output is roughly equivalent to a 200W traditional incandescent bulb, providing sufficient illumination for general room use without needing supplementary task lighting. The fitting weighs 2.68kg and mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose.

Is the Bianca dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. It operates at full 2450lm output when switched on.

What room size does it suit?

The 2450lm output and 120-degree beam angle cover a room measuring approximately 4-5m square as primary ambient lighting. Larger rooms may benefit from a second light source or supplementary task lighting in corners.

How is the crackled acrylic cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow the fitting to cool. Wipe the acrylic panels with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with plain water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the acrylic and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.

What ceiling height is needed for the 225mm projection?

The fitting projects 225mm from the ceiling surface. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings, the base of the fitting will sit at approximately 2.175m, which is clear of typical head height. Lower ceilings may make the fitting feel dominant in smaller rooms.
