Description

The Bianca is a 735mm LED pendant light built around a curved translucent acrylic diffuser with a crackled texture that fragments and softens the light from an integrated 40W LED. The LED produces 2450 lumens at 3000K across a 120° beam angle, giving the fitting enough output to serve as primary lighting over a dining table or kitchen island while the textured acrylic prevents glare.

Designed for ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Bianca hangs on two adjustable cables from a white metal canopy, with a minimum drop of 155mm and a maximum of 1500mm. The fitting works over dining tables 1600-2000mm long, kitchen islands, and breakfast bars where the 735mm length provides even coverage without needing multiple pendants. The dimmable LED allows the light level to be adjusted from full task brightness during meal preparation to softer ambient light during dining.

The crackled texture in the acrylic is created during the moulding process and gives each diffuser a slightly different pattern of fine fractures that catch and scatter light internally. The white metal frame and canopy pair with the translucent white acrylic to create a monochromatic finish that works in both contemporary white kitchens and warmer-toned dining rooms. At 2.48kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or ceiling rose rated for the weight.

Mantra manufactures the Bianca in Spain and we back it with a 3-year warranty. The integrated LED is rated for 30,000 hours at typical domestic usage (4-6 hours per day), which translates to approximately 15-20 years before replacement is needed.

Is the Bianca dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable but requires a trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer switch. Not all standard rotary dimmers work with LED fixtures. Check compatibility with your electrician before installation or contact us for dimmer recommendations.

What table length does it suit?

The 735mm length works over dining tables between 1600-2000mm long, or kitchen islands and breakfast bars of similar size. For tables longer than 2m, consider two Bianca fittings spaced 1200-1500mm apart.

How is the drop adjusted?

The two suspension cables can be shortened during installation to set the drop anywhere between 155mm (semi-flush) and 1500mm. The cables are cut to length and terminated inside the canopy, so adjustment post-installation requires re-accessing the ceiling fixing.

What ceiling height is needed?

For use over a dining table or island, the fitting typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface. This means a ceiling height of 2.4m works with the minimum drop, while ceilings up to 3m can use the full 1500mm drop to achieve the correct hanging height.
