Description

The Bern is a 245mm square outdoor wall light with a galvanised silver metal frame holding a frosted glass panel between two curved horizontal bars. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for external walls near doorways, along pathways, beside garage doors and on patio walls, the Bern projects 120mm from the mounting surface and provides downward and outward light distribution through the frosted glass. The frosted panel diffuses the bulb filament or LED array, reducing direct glare while still delivering functional illumination across 2-3 metres of wall or path. The galvanised finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments.

The square backplate fixes to standard UK outdoor electrical boxes using two mounting points concealed behind the frame. The curved bars that hold the frosted glass give the fitting a geometric profile that sits between mid-century and Art Deco references without leaning heavily into either style. The silver finish pairs with aluminium window frames, galvanised guttering and stainless steel door furniture common in both period and contemporary UK housing.
