Description
The Beno is a round LED ceiling light built for sheltered and exposed locations alike, drawing 24 or 30W to deliver up to 3120 lumens through a wide 110 degree spread. Its colour selectable output switches between 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, moving from a warm glow to a crisp neutral white to suit the space. American buyers will recognise the format as a flush mount LED ceiling light, sitting tight to the surface with no protruding bowl. An integrated PIR sensor brings the fitting on automatically as someone approaches, which makes it a practical choice where hands-free switching matters.
Measuring just Ø260mm across and 57mm deep, the Beno suits porches, entrance lobbies, covered walkways, garages and utility areas, and works equally well on a ceiling or a wall. At general lighting levels it covers around 10 m², enough for a small porch, a landing or a compact utility room. Because it sits so close to the surface it is well suited to low ceilings and tight stairwells where a deeper fitting would feel intrusive. The motion sensing makes it especially useful on routes through the house and around outbuildings, lighting the way without a switch.
The body is moulded polycarbonate in an anthracite finish, rated IP65 so it stands up to rain, hosing and damp without water ingress. With an integrated LED rated to 50,000 hours there is no bulb to replace, and the unit runs from a standard 220-240V AC supply with the PIR control built in. The Beno is not dimmable, in keeping with its sensor-led automatic operation. Other wattage and sensor options sit within the wider Beno range if you need to match fittings across a project.

Frequently Asked
What area does the Beno light?
At general lighting levels the Beno covers around 10 m², which suits a small porch, a landing or a compact utility room. Its 110 degree beam spreads the light evenly across the space rather than throwing it in a narrow pool. The colour selectable output lets you pick a warmer or cooler tone to match the room.
How does the PIR sensor work?
An integrated PIR sensor detects movement and switches the light on automatically as someone enters the detection zone, then turns it off again after a set period. This makes it ideal for entrances, walkways and garages where hands-free lighting is useful. There is no separate sensor to wire in, as the control is built into the fitting.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The Beno is rated IP65, so it is weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations including open porches, covered walkways and external walls. The moulded polycarbonate body and anthracite finish are made to withstand rain and damp.
How should the fitting be cleaned?
Wipe the diffuser with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust, cobwebs and outdoor grime that can dull the output. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents on the polycarbonate surface. Isolate the supply first, and let the fitting cool before cleaning.
