Description
The Beno is a square LED ceiling and wall light with a built-in PIR motion sensor, drawing 12W or 18W from a 220-240V AC supply. It is a flush mount LED ceiling light by US naming, sitting close to the surface rather than hanging below it. Output is selectable across the wattage settings to a maximum of 1630, 1770 or 1750 lumens, with a colour temperature switchable between 3000K, 3500K and 4000K to suit warmer or crisper light. A wide 110 degree beam spreads light evenly across the area below, and the PIR triggers the fitting automatically as someone approaches.
The integrated motion sensor makes the Beno a practical choice for porches, entrances, covered walkways and utility areas where hands-free light is useful, as well as hallways, landings and garages indoors. At general lighting levels its output covers around 5 to 6 m², which suits a compact room, a porch ceiling or a stretch of passage. Because it mounts flush to the surface it works well on lower ceilings and on walls beside doorways, and the square 220 x 220 mm body keeps a tidy footprint wherever it is fixed. The automatic switching means light only runs when movement is detected, which is well suited to spaces used in short bursts.
The body is moulded polycarbonate in an anthracite finish, rated IP65 so it stands up to rain, dust and wet locations as well as fully exposed outdoor positions. The integrated LED is rated for 50,000 hours and is not user-replaceable, so there is no separate bulb to change, and the fitting is not dimmable. It mounts to either a wall or a ceiling and weighs 766 g, with a slim 57 mm depth. We stock the Beno across the range, so matching sensor fittings can be specified for a consistent look around a property.

Frequently Asked
What area does the Beno light?
At general lighting levels the Beno covers around 5 to 6 m², depending on the wattage setting you choose. That suits a porch, a compact utility space or a section of hallway. The wide 110 degree beam helps spread the light evenly across that footprint.
Can the Beno be used outdoors?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, so it is sealed against rain, dust and wet locations and is suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions as well as covered entrances. The anthracite polycarbonate body is built to cope with the weather.
Does it have a replaceable bulb?
No, the Beno uses an integrated LED rather than a separate bulb. The LED is rated for 50,000 hours, so there is nothing to change during normal use. When it eventually reaches the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the polycarbonate body with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent, then dry it off. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents that could mark the surface or the sensor window. Make sure the supply is switched off before cleaning.
