Description

The Beekman is a 120mm square outdoor wall light with an integrated 6W 3000K LED housed in a black powder-coated aluminium body. The geometric form creates a fold of light downwards through a lower aperture, casting warm white illumination onto the wall surface below while the upper section remains unlit. IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for exterior walls, the Beekman works on garden boundaries, patio walls, garage sides and entrance porches where downward wash lighting is needed without glare into windows or neighbouring properties. The 120mm x 120mm face projects 70mm from the wall, sitting flush against brickwork, render or timber cladding. The LED draws 6W on 100-240V mains, making it compatible with UK and international installations.

The black aluminium construction weighs enough to resist wind movement once mounted but remains light enough for fixing onto hollow walls with suitable anchors. Silicone gaskets seal the joint between the body and protective glass cover, preventing moisture from reaching the LED driver behind. The fold geometry in the front panel directs light downwards in a controlled beam rather than scattering it in all directions, reducing light pollution while still marking pathways and features at night.

The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white tone that sits between the cooler daylight LEDs often used in security lighting and the amber glow of traditional outdoor lanterns. This temperature works in both contemporary and period settings without looking out of place against natural materials like stone, brick or timber.

The IP54 rating protects against water splashes, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (away from direct shower spray). It is not rated for direct submersion or high-pressure water jets.

Is the LED replaceable?

What wall fixings are needed?

The fitting requires two fixings suitable for the wall material. On solid brick or blockwork, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient. On hollow walls, toggle anchors or cavity fixings rated for the weight of the fitting are recommended.
