This bee hive trinket box is made in metal and shaped like a traditional straw skep, with raised, beaded bands rising to a domed lid. Its colour is a warm, buttery yellow with soft orange shading along each band, and two small bees bring it to life: one clings to the side of the hive, while the other perches at the end of a curling gold-tone wire that springs from the top of the lid, as if it has just taken flight. On the front, a sunburst of tiny sparkling amber-coloured studs circles the hive's doorway. It stands 8.5cm tall, 7cm wide and 5cm deep, so it sits happily in the palm of your hand.
