The Beaumont is a 40cm flush ceiling light with an antique brass iron frame supporting radiating glass rods arranged in a sunburst pattern around a central drum. Four E27 bulb holders sit inside the glass rod structure, casting light through the individual rods and creating prismatic reflections across the ceiling and surrounding walls. The glass rods are hand-set into the frame, each rod catching and refracting light differently depending on viewing angle.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Beaumont suits hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms needing overhead ambient light without compromising headroom. The 20cm projection from the ceiling gives enough depth for the glass rods to create visual interest without extending into the usable space below. The Beaumont takes 4 x E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-8W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient room lighting. The glass rods diffuse the light, so higher-wattage bulbs are not typically needed.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 20cm projection from ceiling to bottom of the fitting makes it appropriate for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.3m and above, where a pendant would hang too low or create a hazard. It's a flush mount rather than a semi-flush, so the base plate sits directly against the ceiling rose.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The Beaumont carries no IP rating and is not suitable for bathrooms or other wet or high-humidity environments. It's designed for dry interior spaces only.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow the bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each glass rod gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn dust, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or letting moisture reach the bulb holders.
