Description

Five E27 lampholders sit on a round satin black plate, held just clear of the ceiling so the fitting reads as a shallow cluster rather than a hanging light. It comes without shades by design: the holders take a wide selection, so you choose the covers and set the character yourself, from small drums to glass to something more decorative. The plate measures 28cm across, which keeps the light gathered rather than spread thin.

We reach for this where a pendant would hang too low, so a hallway with a modest ceiling, a landing, a bedroom above a chest of drawers, or a compact kitchen where headroom counts. The holders together give plenty of output for a main light in a small to medium room, and with suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer the level can be taken down for the evening. It suits anyone who already has shades in mind, or who likes the thought of swapping them later without touching the fitting itself. We would put warm white LED GLS lamps in it.

Satin black is a low sheen finish, kinder to fingerprints than a polished metal and easy to place against a white ceiling or a darker paint. An occasional wipe with a dry duster keeps it even, worked around the holders once the power is off and everything is cool to the touch. It carries a one year warranty. The range goes further than this piece: we stock the single light semi flush in the same satin black, and in polished chrome, antique brass and satin nickel if you would rather a warmer or brighter metal. Lamps and shades are not included.
