Description

A polished chrome bar spans 129cm and carries three drum shades in a silver foil finish, lined in white laminate so light is thrown back down rather than lost inside. Each shade is 40cm across, set in a row along the bar instead of gathered in a cluster, which gives a broad, even wash below. Every shade takes its own E27 lamp, and the drop can be set short or long, so the fitting sits close under a low ceiling or hangs well down in a room with height to spare.

This is one we suggest where the surface underneath is long: a rectangular dining table, a kitchen island, a wide console in a hall. A single central shade tends to leave the ends of a table dull, and three in a line solves that without extra ceiling points. It suits open plan rooms where the eating area needs its own pool of light. It will dim if you pair it with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer, though neither is supplied, and it is intended for dry rooms indoors on a household supply with an earth connection.

The frame and canopy are metal in a bright polished chrome, and the shades are card faced in silver foil over a white laminate interior. Keep the chrome looking sharp with a dry microfibre cloth and nothing damp; the foil facing on the shades prefers a light dusting or a soft brush, never a spray cleaner. It carries a one year warranty. We also stock the same silver leaf shade on a drop flush version of the Baymont for rooms where a hanging bar would sit too low, plus flush fittings in white with faux silk and gold leaf shades if you want something softer overhead.
