Description

Three small drum shades in white faux silk hang in a line from a slim antique brass bar, each shade 20cm across and shallow in profile, which keeps the row looking light rather than bulky. The metalwork has a softly aged tone that sits between gold and bronze, and the white shades stop it feeling too warm overall. The drop can be set short or long, so the bar sits tight under a low ceiling or hangs well down into a tall room.

The bar runs a little over a metre, which suits it to a kitchen island, a run of worktop, or a rectangular dining table where a single pendant would leave the ends dim. It works in narrow spaces as well, above a hall table or a long console. Each lamp holder is E27, and a golf ball LED is what we would fit here, keeping the bulb in proportion to the small shades. Put in dimmable lamps and pair them with a compatible dimmer and the light will drop back for the evening.

Metal frame, antique brass finish, with faux silk shades over a white laminate. Upkeep is a matter of a lint roller or a soft brush over the fabric now and then, and a dry cloth on the brass; keep water and cleaning sprays away from both. It carries a one year warranty, and it is meant for dry rooms indoors rather than anywhere damp or exposed. If the ceiling height rules a hanging fitting out, we also stock flush fittings from the same range in white and in polished chrome, with a choice of shade colours. Lamps are not included.
