Description

A shallow fabric drum that sits tight to the ceiling, finished in ivory pearl faux silk with a white laminate lining behind it. Three E27 lamps sit above a frosted acrylic diffuser set into the base, so the light falls softly downwards while the fabric sides give off a gentler glow. At 30cm across and 25cm deep it reads as a neat, quiet shape rather than something that asks to be looked at.

We reach for this in rooms where a pendant would hang too low: hallways and landings, a bedroom under a shallow ceiling, a box room turned office, or a small dining space. Spread across several lamps rather than one, the output is even enough to work as the only fitting in a medium room, and it will dim if you pair suitable lamps with a dimmer. It suits anyone after plain, warm light and a fitting that stays out of the way of the furniture.

The shade is faux silk over a white body, with the laminate lining giving the inside a clean, reflective face, and the frosted acrylic panel doing the rest of the softening. Keep the fabric dust free with a soft brush or a low vacuum, and give the acrylic a wipe with a lightly dampened cloth when the power is off and everything is cold; nothing here wants a spray cleaner. It carries a one year warranty.
