Description

Three E27 lampholders are gathered on a compact satin black fitting that sits tight to the ceiling with only a short drop beneath it. The point of it is what you put on top: it is a universal fixture, made to accept a wide selection of shades, so the character of the finished light is yours to choose. Left bare it reads as a neat, quietly industrial cluster; dressed with a drum or a coolie it becomes something altogether softer.

This is the fitting we reach for in rooms where a pendant would hang too low, or where a single lamp simply is not enough light. Landings, bedrooms, small dining rooms and hallways all suit it, and the 25cm span keeps it in proportion to a modest ceiling without looking mean. We would put LED GLS lamps in it, each up to 20W, and it will dim happily given suitable lamps and a compatible dimmer, though neither the lamps nor the dimmer come with it. It needs an earthed supply and belongs in dry indoor rooms.

The satin black has a low, even sheen that hides fingerprints far better than a polished metal would, and it holds its own against both pale plaster and darker paint. To keep it looking right, isolate the circuit at the wall switch, let everything go cold, then run a barely damp cloth over the body and dry it off; leave polishes and sprays out of it entirely. It carries a one year warranty. If you want the same look at a smaller scale, we also stock the little Baymont semi flush in matching satin black, and the wider flush fittings in white for larger landings. Lamps and shade are sold separately.
