Description

Sitting close to the ceiling, this is the flush fitting we point people towards when a hanging shade would be in the way. A drum of grey faux silk wraps a frosted acrylic diffuser, so the light comes through softened and even instead of glaring straight down, while the white laminate lining keeps the inside of the shade bright. The shade measures 30cm across, and three E27 lampholders sit behind the diffuser to spread the output.

Hallways, landings, bedrooms and box rooms are the obvious homes for it, and it earns its place in a sitting room with a low ceiling too, where the grey reads as a quiet neutral against white plaster or a paler wall. The set of lampholders gives enough light for a main ceiling point in a medium sized room. It will dim, provided you pair compatible lamps with a suitable dimmer, and neither is supplied. Our own choice here is a set of LED GLS lamps, which sit tidily out of sight.

The shade is faux silk over a grey and white laminate, and the diffuser below it is frosted acrylic, which keeps the whole fitting light in the hand. Keep it looking well by brushing the fabric gently now and then with something soft, and wiping the acrylic with a barely damp cloth once the power is off and everything has gone cold. It carries a one year warranty. Elsewhere in the Baymont range we stock universal flush fittings in white and polished chrome that take a shade of your own choosing, along with linear pendants in antique brass and satin nickel.
