Description

The Bavaro is a matt white ceiling fan with light, with three broad blades turning beneath a compact steel body that sits flush to the ceiling. It measures 112cm across and 24cm high, so it keeps a low profile rather than hanging on a long rod. At its centre, a milky acrylic shade covers an integrated LED that draws 12W and gives 1,750lm at 4300K, a clear, neutral white. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

We would fit it in a living room, a bedroom or a study, anywhere you want a fan and a main light from one fitting. Because the body sits so close to the ceiling, it suits rooms where a fan on a drop rod would feel too low overhead. The light is bright and clear, good for reading, working and the business of an ordinary evening, while the three speeds let you choose between a gentle drift of air on a mild day and a stronger breeze on a hot afternoon. One fitting doing both jobs also keeps the ceiling uncluttered.

The body is steel in a matt white finish and the blades match it, so the fan reads as one clean shape against a pale ceiling. A remote control comes in the box and runs the fan, so you can move between the three speeds from the sofa or the bed. The direction is reversible: run it one way for a cooling downdraught, or the other for a gentler movement of air in cooler months. The LED is not dimmable, so it gives one steady level of light, and the fan carries an energy class of E. It runs on 220-240V, 50Hz mains and weighs 6.629KG packed, and as a mains fitting wired into the ceiling it is installed by a qualified electrician.
