Description

The Basis Rot is a 12W LED linear track light with a 382mm-long black aluminium body housing an integrated LED module that delivers 4000K neutral white light through a matt polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting mounts onto Maytoni Unity single-phase track systems via a twist-lock mechanism and swivels vertically on a central pivot, allowing the beam to be directed up, down or horizontally along the track run.

Designed for retail displays, gallery walls, office task lighting and hospitality spaces where adjustable accent lighting is needed, the Basis Rot can be positioned anywhere along a track run and angled to highlight specific zones or objects. The 4000K colour temperature produces a crisp, neutral white that renders colours accurately without the warmth of 3000K or the clinical coldness of 5000K+, making it suitable for product displays, artwork and workspaces where colour rendering matters.

The aluminium body measures 382mm in length, 46mm in height and 33mm in width, giving the fitting a linear profile that blends into the track rather than projecting as a visible bulb or spotlight head. The matt polycarbonate diffuser runs the full length of the aluminium housing, softening the LED output and reducing glare from direct viewing angles. The black powder-coated finish pairs with black track systems for a monolithic appearance or contrasts with white track for definition.

The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use only. The integrated 12W LED is non-replaceable, with the entire fitting intended as the serviceable unit. Maytoni backs the Basis Rot with a 3-year warranty covering LED failure and electrical faults.

Frequently Asked

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 12W LED module is integrated into the fitting and non-replaceable. The entire track light is the serviceable unit. Maytoni provides a 3-year warranty covering LED failure.

What track system does it fit?

The Basis Rot mounts onto Maytoni Unity single-phase track systems using a twist-lock adaptor. It is not compatible with three-phase track or track systems from other manufacturers without an adaptor.

Can the light be angled?

Yes. The fitting swivels vertically on a central pivot, allowing the beam to be directed up towards a ceiling, down onto a surface, or horizontally along the track line. It does not rotate side-to-side independently of the track.

What is the light output?

The 12W integrated LED produces 4000K neutral white light. Exact lumen output is not specified on the product datasheet, but 12W LEDs in this category typically deliver between 900-1100 lumens depending on driver efficiency.
