Description

The Basis is an 11.6cm LED linear track light designed for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system, housing a 6W integrated LED module emitting 3000K warm white light. The fitting mounts magnetically to the track without tools, allowing repositioning along the track length as needed. The matt black aluminium body presents as a low-profile linear bar with a diffused output along its length.

Designed for accent lighting and task lighting in retail, gallery, hospitality and residential settings, the Basis provides directional illumination where traditional downlights or spotlights would be too confined. The 11.6cm length creates a linear wash effect rather than a circular pool of light, making it useful for highlighting wall features, artwork runs, shelving and counter surfaces. The magnetic mounting works on DC 48V Radity tracks only — it is not compatible with traditional three-circuit mains-voltage track systems.

The aluminium body acts as the heatsink for the integrated LED module, keeping the surface temperature controlled during continuous operation. The matt black finish reduces reflections and blends into dark ceiling environments. At 2.8cm height and 2.6cm width the fitting has minimal visual bulk when viewed from below. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry interior environments but not bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use.

The 3000K colour temperature delivers warm white light that sits between soft white (2700K) and neutral white (4000K), providing clarity without the cooler tone of daylight-balanced LEDs. The integrated LED is non-replaceable — the entire fitting is retired when the LED reaches end-of-life, typically after 30,000-50,000 hours depending on duty cycle.

Is this compatible with standard mains-voltage track systems?

No. The Basis requires Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system running at DC 48V. It cannot be fitted to traditional three-circuit mains-voltage track lighting rails.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. When the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is retired, typically after 30,000-50,000 hours of use.

What is the light output in lumens?

Can this be used in bathrooms?
