Description

The Basis LED corner track light is a 90-degree L-shaped aluminium profile designed to join two perpendicular runs of Maytoni's Magnetic Exility track system. The corner piece houses an integrated 24W LED strip running the full length of both arms, emitting 4000K cool white light through a frosted polycarbonate diffuser along the underside of each 30.2cm arm.

Designed for modern commercial and residential installations where track lighting needs to turn a corner — kitchen islands meeting worktops, gallery corridors, retail display perimeters, or office open-plan zones — the Basis corner piece maintains continuous light output across the 90-degree turn without a gap or visual break in the lit run. The DC 48V low-voltage system runs through the magnetic track itself, so the corner piece clips into place without separate wiring. The black powder-coated aluminium finish gives a 4.4cm low-profile projection from the ceiling.

The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light suited to task lighting, display lighting and commercial environments where colour rendering accuracy matters. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use only. The aluminium construction dissipates heat efficiently, allowing the integrated LED to run at stable output without thermal degradation. The corner piece is one component within Maytoni's modular Exility system, which includes straight track sections, end caps, power feeds and additional LED modules that all share the same magnetic fixing protocol.

Does this work as a standalone light fitting?

No. The Basis corner piece is a component within Maytoni's Magnetic Exility track system and requires compatible track sections, a power feed unit and a transformer to operate. It cannot be installed directly to a ceiling rose without the track infrastructure.

What voltage does it run on?

The LED runs on DC 48V low voltage, supplied through the magnetic track from a separate driver/transformer unit (sold separately). It does not connect directly to 230V mains.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming capability depends on the driver/transformer model used to power the Magnetic Exility system. Contact us to confirm compatibility with dimmable drivers before installation.

What colour temperature is the light?

The integrated LED is rated at 4000K, which is a neutral cool white often used in commercial, office and task lighting applications where colour accuracy matters.
