Description

The Basis Grid is a 116mm linear track light designed for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system, housing an integrated 6W 3000K LED behind a honeycomb grid diffuser. The white powder-coated aluminium body runs on 48V DC low-voltage power supplied through the magnetic track, eliminating the need for individual mains connections at each fitting.

Designed for kitchen worktops, retail shelving, gallery walls and office desks, the Basis Grid mounts onto the magnetic track via a rotary connector, allowing the fitting to be repositioned along the track length and rotated to direct light onto specific surfaces. The honeycomb grid structure inside the aperture controls glare and provides even illumination across the 116mm length, making the fitting suitable for task lighting where direct LED exposure would cause discomfort.

The compact 28mm height and 26mm width keep the fitting visually discreet when installed on ceiling or wall-mounted track runs. The white powder-coated finish matches standard ceiling tones and pairs with both warm-toned and cooler contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — bathrooms, outdoor installations and high-humidity environments require alternative IP-rated products.

What track system does this fitting require?

The Basis Grid is designed specifically for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system. It will not fit standard 3-circuit track or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks. The fitting connects magnetically and receives 48V DC power through the track.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

Yes. The fitting uses a rotary connector that allows it to be rotated on the track to direct light onto different surfaces. It can also be repositioned along the track length without tools.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the Radity track system's power supply unit. If the track system includes a dimmable driver, the fitting will dim. Check the track system specification or contact us to confirm compatibility.

What does the honeycomb grid do?

The grid diffuser controls glare by restricting the angle at which direct LED light is visible, making the fitting more comfortable to use for task lighting in kitchens, offices and retail settings where the fitting is within the user's field of view.
