Description

The Basis is a 116mm linear LED track light built for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system, delivering 6W of 3000K warm white light through an aluminium housing finished in white. The fitting attaches to the track via a magnetic contact point, allowing it to be positioned, repositioned and removed without tools or electrical work beyond the initial track installation.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential spaces where lighting layouts change with room use or display needs, the Basis operates on 48V DC delivered through the Radity track itself. The linear form casts a wide spread of light along its 116mm length rather than a concentrated beam, making it suited to illuminating countertops, shelving, product displays and wall-mounted art. The white finish blends into light-coloured ceilings and minimises visual weight in low-ceiling environments.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 100g, reducing the load on the magnetic track and allowing multiple Basis fittings to be used on a single run without exceeding track capacity. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor environments. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, but Maytoni backs the fitting with a five-year warranty covering LED failure and housing defects.

Is this compatible with standard track lighting systems?

No. The Basis is designed exclusively for Maytoni's Radity magnetic track system and operates on 48V DC power delivered through the track. It will not fit or function on standard mains-voltage track systems from other manufacturers.

Can the LED be replaced if it fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced by the end user. Maytoni provides a five-year warranty covering LED failure and manufacturing defects, so a faulty unit would be replaced under warranty during that period.

What beam angle does it produce?

The linear form produces a wide spread of light along its 116mm length rather than a concentrated spot. This makes it suited to illuminating shelves, countertops and wall displays rather than focused accent lighting on individual objects.

How is the fitting attached to the track?

The Basis attaches magnetically to the Radity track. It can be positioned anywhere along the track length, moved, or removed without tools, making it straightforward to adjust lighting layouts as room layouts or display needs change.
