Description

The Basic Form is a compact wall light built around a 150mm frosted glass sphere mounted on a matt black metal backplate. The frosted glass diffuses light from a single E14 bulb (sold separately, max 40W), casting soft ambient light in a 180-degree spread from the wall surface.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and staircases where ambient wall lighting is needed without taking up vertical space, the Basic Form sits 180mm tall from wall to top of sphere. The 150mm backplate projection keeps the fitting close to the wall while the frosted globe prevents glare at eye level when walking past. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations.

The matt black finish on the metal backplate and mounting bracket absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping focus on the frosted sphere. Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It does not carry the IP44 or IP65 rating required for bathroom zones or wet environments.

How is the frosted glass cleaned?

Wipe the frosted glass sphere with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the glass or metal backplate.
