Description

The Basic Colors Cone pendant light is a 35cm white metal cone suspended on an adjustable black cable from a matching white ceiling canopy. The shade is constructed from powder-coated metal with a matt white finish on both inner and outer surfaces, and houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The cable drop adjusts from 38cm minimum to 318cm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at different heights depending on ceiling height and application.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas, hallways and bedroom reading positions, the cone shade directs light downwards while the white inner surface softens the output and reduces glare. The 35cm diameter suits installation over kitchen islands, dining tables up to 1.6m long, and breakfast bars where a single pendant provides both task and ambient light. In multiples, the Basic Colors pendant works as cluster lighting over larger dining tables or in stairwells with high ceilings. The IP20 rating confirms the fitting for general indoor use only.

The matt white powder-coat finish on the metal shade resists minor scuffs and wipe-clean maintenance, and pairs with white, grey, warm timber and pastel interiors without introducing additional colour. What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen lighting.

Can the cable length be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cable drop is adjustable during installation from 38cm minimum to 318cm maximum. Once installed, the cable can be shortened or lengthened by re-accessing the ceiling canopy and adjusting the cable grip mechanism.

What height should it hang over a dining table?

For a dining table, position the bottom of the shade 700-800mm above the table surface. This provides adequate task light without obstructing sightlines across the table. Adjust to personal preference based on ceiling height and table size.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Use in dry rooms such as kitchens, dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms.
