Description

The Basfor is a 30cm diameter flush ceiling light built around a nickel-plated metal frame holding three E14 bulb fittings, surrounded by rows of diamond-cut crystals and finished with a single large faceted crystal ball drop beneath. The 18cm height from ceiling to drop makes this a flush-mount fitting designed for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and dining rooms in flats and houses with standard or lower ceiling heights, the Basfor provides both ambient light through the three bulbs and decorative light scatter through the crystals. The shallow profile means it sits close to the ceiling without protruding into the room, while the crystal surround catches natural daylight during the day and creates refracted light patterns when the bulbs are lit. The nickel finish on the metal frame reflects as a cool silver tone that pairs with both modern and traditional interiors.

The crystal elements are individually hung on the metal frame in concentric rows, with the outermost row forming the 30cm perimeter and inner rows stepping down towards the central bulb cluster. Each crystal is diamond-cut to maximise light refraction, and the large drop crystal beneath adds vertical interest to what is otherwise a low-profile fitting. The three E14 fittings accept standard candle bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and brightness to suit the room.

Yes. The 18cm height from ceiling rose to the bottom of the drop crystal makes this a flush-mount fitting designed specifically for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant chandelier would hang too low or dominate the space.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is suitable for dry indoor areas only. For bathroom use, look for IP44 or IP65 rated fittings.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal element gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the nickel frame.
