Description

The Basfor is a 2-light crystal wall light built on a curved antique gold metal frame that holds two E14 bulb fittings surrounded by rows of diamond-cut crystals. The crystals are wired onto the metal frame in overlapping tiers, forming a compact 25.5cm-wide fixture that projects 15cm from the wall and stands 12.5cm tall. Light from the two E14 bulbs (sold separately) refracts through the cut facets of the crystals, creating diffuse sparkle across adjacent walls and ceilings.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls above bedside tables, and smaller living rooms where a flush ceiling light would sit too high, the Basfor provides accent lighting without dominating narrow or low-ceilinged spaces. The 25.5cm width suits installation in pairs flanking a mirror or doorway, or as a single fitting above a console table. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations. The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft glow through the crystals.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, near showers, or in any space where moisture or steam is present.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The diamond-cut crystals are faceted glass. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but dry immediately to prevent water marks on the facets. Avoid household sprays and chemical cleaners.
