Description

Three lampholders sit on gently curved arms, gathered beneath one wide organza shade in grey, with the metalwork finished in satin nickel. At 45cm across, the shade is broad enough to spread light softly through a room, and the fabric carries a faint sheen that catches the glow from inside. The satin nickel has a low, brushed lustre rather than a mirror shine, which keeps the fitting quiet against pale walls and paler ceilings. Small candle lamps suit the arms, and we would fit LED candles here.

It works nicely over a dining table, along a hallway, or in a bedroom where a single small lamp would look thin. The supplied chain means the drop can be kept short beneath a lower ceiling or let out long over a table, so the same pendant answers both situations. Dimming is possible provided the lamps you fit are dimmable ones; no special control is built into the fitting. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from steam and splashing.

The shade is organza in grey, the arms and cup are finished in satin nickel, and the whole thing is light in the hand for a pendant of this width. For care, lift dust from the fabric with a soft brush or an upholstery tool on gentle suction, then run a dry cloth over the arms; damp cloths and solvents will spoil both fabric and finish. It carries a one year warranty.
