Description

E14 candle lamps sit in a cluster beneath a shared shade here, so light spreads across a corner rather than pooling in a single spot. The stand is polished nickel, slim and upright, and the drum shade above it is faux silk in ivory pearl, a soft off-white that warms the light passing through it. A foot switch on the flex means no bending down to the socket every evening. Overall height is 1.6m.

We reach for this where a table lamp has run out of reach: behind an armchair, at the corner of a sofa, or beside a bed with no room for a bedside table. The shade measures 45cm across, so leave space for it when you push the lamp up against furniture. Three lamps working together give plenty to read by, and it will dim if you fit suitable candle LEDs and a compatible dimmer, neither of which comes with it. We would choose warm white for a sitting room and something cooler for a study.
