Designed for porches, front entrances, courtyard walls and covered patios, the Baltimore carries an IP44 rating for protection against water splashes from any direction. The half-lantern configuration makes it suitable for narrow wall sections where a full-projection lantern would obstruct a doorway or path. The 217mm width and depth footprint typically suits installation beside an entrance door, at 1600-1800mm above ground level for functional door lighting, or lower down garden walls as decorative accent lighting.

The weathered bronze finish is hand-applied to give each lantern a slightly different patina variation, with darker tones in the recesses of the scrollwork and lighter bronze highlights on the raised details. The amber-tinted glass softens the light output and adds a warm amber cast when lit, which pairs with traditional stone, brick and timber exteriors. The scrollwork arms at top and bottom reference 18th-century carriage lanterns, with the flame finial adding height and visual balance.

The fitting accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose between warm-white LED (typically 6-10W for equivalent 40-60W incandescent output), vintage-style filament bulbs, or traditional incandescent where ambience matters more than energy efficiency. Can it be installed on a brick or stone wall?

Yes. The mounting plate requires two fixings into wall plugs suitable for the wall material (masonry, brick, stone, timber). The fixing centres and backplate dimensions are shown in the installation instructions supplied with the lantern. Ensure the wall can support approximately 2-3kg weight.

Does the weathered bronze finish vary between lanterns?

Yes. The weathered bronze is hand-applied, so each lantern shows slightly different patina variation. Darker tones settle in the recesses and lighter bronze appears on raised scrollwork details. This is intentional and characteristic of hand-finished metalwork.
