Description

The Bahia is a bronze cuboid wall light with a single E27 lampholder, designed to be paired with a separate fabric or metal shade (sold separately). The bronze-finished metal backplate measures 85mm high by 40mm wide with a 140mm projection from the wall, creating a compact geometric profile that sits close to the wall surface once a shade is fitted.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, hotel corridors and living room accent lighting, the Bahia works as bedside reading light when fitted with a directional shade, or as ambient wall wash when paired with a drum shade that directs light both up and down. The E27 fitting accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to the rated wattage, and is dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and compatible dimmer switch.

The bronze finish is applied to a die-cast metal housing, giving a warm metallic tone that pairs with timber furniture, warm-toned interiors and vintage or mid-century schemes. The cuboid geometry of the backplate provides a clean, modern mounting point that sits flush against the wall without visible fixings once installed. At 0.36kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate cavity fixings.

No. The Bahia is sold as a bare fitting with the bronze backplate and E27 lampholder only. Shades are sold separately — search for E27 wall light shades or contact us for compatible options.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Maximum wattage depends on the shade material used — typically 40-60W for fabric shades, higher for metal. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED bulb in 2700K-3000K for warm bedside or ambient lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and paired with a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming function — dimming is controlled by the bulb and dimmer combination.

What projection from the wall once a shade is fitted?

The backplate projects 140mm from the wall. Once a shade is fitted, total projection depends on the shade diameter — a typical 200mm drum shade will project approximately 240-260mm from the wall surface.
