Description

The Bahia is a dual-function wall reading light combining a satin nickel cuboid base with an integrated 3W LED spotlight and a separate shade mount for ambient lighting. The spotlight projects 140mm from the wall and can be angled within a 60° beam, directing 200 lumens of 4000K cool white light onto a book, desk surface or bedside area. The shade mount sits above the spotlight arm on the same cuboid base, accepting E27 or E14 shades (sold separately) for additional ambient or decorative lighting.

Designed for bedside wall mounting, reading corners next to armchairs, and hotel headboard installations, the Bahia provides task lighting without occupying floor or bedside-table space. The integrated switch on the body controls both the spotlight and the shade socket independently, allowing the user to run the reading light alone or both together. The satin nickel finish is a mid-tone metallic that pairs cleanly with chrome bathroom fittings, brushed stainless steel door handles, and contemporary interiors where polished finishes would be too reflective.

The fitting measures 215mm tall from base to top of shade mount, with the spotlight arm projecting 140mm from the wall when fully extended. The cuboid base is 40mm wide and carries both the spotlight mechanism and the wiring for the shade socket above. Total power consumption is 16W when both the integrated LED and a shade bulb are lit together (the LED itself draws 3W; the remaining 13W capacity is for the shade socket). At 570g the fitting requires a solid fixing into masonry or a wall stud rather than plasterboard alone. The shade in the photographs is shown for scale and is not included.

Is the shade in the photographs included?

No. The photographs show the fitting with a shade so you can judge its proportions, and the shade is not supplied. The fitting is sold on its own and takes a shade you choose separately.

Is a shade included with this fitting?

No. The Bahia is supplied without a shade. The shade mount accepts standard E27 or E14 shades, which are sold separately. The integrated LED spotlight operates independently of the shade socket.

Can the spotlight be angled?

Yes. The spotlight arm can be angled within a 60° beam to direct light onto a reading surface, bedside area or desk. The arm is manually adjustable and holds position once set.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated 3W LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed 4000K cool white output. The shade socket above may accept a dimmable bulb if paired with a compatible dimmer circuit, but the LED spotlight itself will remain at full brightness.

What wall fixing is needed?

At 570g total weight, the fitting requires screws into masonry, brick or a wall stud. Plasterboard-only fixing is not recommended unless a suitable cavity anchor rated to 1kg or more is used.
