Description

The Ava is a 150mm crystal sphere table lamp built from handcrafted metal rings holding tightly set octagon crystals, mounted on a 320mm polished chrome stem. Two G9 bulbs sit inside the sphere, each rated up to 33W, with the light reflecting through the multiple facets of the clear crystals to produce concentrated sparkle.

Designed for side tables, console tables and bedside use in bedrooms, living rooms and hallways, the Ava provides accent lighting rather than primary task light. The 150mm sphere diameter and 320mm overall height fit comfortably on tables with limited surface area without dominating the space. The inline switch on the cable allows the lamp to be controlled without reaching behind furniture.

Each octagon crystal is set into individual metal rings that form the sphere structure, creating dense crystal coverage across the surface. The polished chrome finish on the stem and base reflects surrounding light and complements both traditional and contemporary interiors. At 1.2kg the lamp has enough weight to remain stable on most surfaces without requiring a large footprint. The lamp is compatible with dimmable G9 halogen or incandescent bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer.

What bulbs does the Ava take?

The lamp takes 2 x G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. G9 halogen bulbs provide the brightest output, while G9 LED bulbs offer energy efficiency. The specification notes the lamp is not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs, so halogen or incandescent G9 bulbs are required.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when used with dimmable G9 halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not include dimming controls — dimming requires external wiring to a dimmer.

How is the crystal sphere cleaned?

The densely packed octagon crystals can trap dust between the facets. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth works on the chrome and crystal, but avoid soaking the metal rings or using chemical sprays that may tarnish the chrome finish.

What size table does it suit?

The 150mm sphere diameter and compact 320mm height suit bedside tables, narrow console tables and side tables with limited surface area. The lamp occupies approximately 150mm square of table space.
