Description
The AV:Link 3 Port USB-C Hub expands a single USB Type-C port into three connections: one HDMI output supporting 4K@30Hz, one USB 3.0 Type-A port with 5Gbps transfer speed, and one USB Type-C Power Delivery port delivering up to 100W charging. The hub body is brushed aluminium with a 120mm captive cable terminating in a USB-C connector that plugs into laptops, tablets or docking stations.
Designed for connecting external displays, peripherals and charging devices simultaneously from a single USB-C port, the hub suits laptop users who need to connect an HDMI monitor while keeping their device charged and accessing USB storage or peripherals. The HDMI port handles 4K resolution at 30Hz or 1080p at 60Hz, working with projectors, monitors and televisions that use HDMI input. The USB Type-A port accepts standard USB 3.0 devices including flash drives, keyboards, mice and external hard drives.
The brushed aluminium housing measures 76 x 163mm with a 12mm profile, weighing 39g including the cable. The 120mm lead length allows the hub to sit on a desk surface next to a laptop without the weight pulling on the USB-C port. The Power Delivery port passes through up to 100W from a connected USB-C charger, allowing the laptop to charge at full speed while the hub operates. Plug-and-play operation works with Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and iPadOS devices that support USB-C alternate mode and Power Delivery.

Frequently Asked
Does the hub require external power?
No. The hub draws power from the host USB-C port. The USB-C PD port is for pass-through charging of the connected laptop or device, not for powering the hub itself.
Can the HDMI and USB ports be used simultaneously?
Yes. All three ports can be used at the same time, provided the host device supports the combined bandwidth and power requirements. The HDMI output and USB-A data transfer share the USB-C port's available bandwidth.
What devices is this compatible with?
The hub works with laptops, tablets and phones that have a USB-C port supporting DisplayPort alternate mode and USB Power Delivery. This includes most MacBooks, Chromebooks, Windows laptops and iPads with USB-C. Some older USB-C devices may support data but not video output.
Does the 100W PD charging work with any charger?
The hub passes through up to 100W from a connected USB-C charger, but the actual charging power depends on the charger's output rating. A 65W charger will deliver 65W to the device, a 100W charger will deliver up to 100W. The hub itself does not convert or boost power.
