Description

The Aurora is a 100cm round wall mirror with a bevelled central glass set into a hand-finished silver leaf carved frame. The frame is built from four curved sections joined to form the circle, each section showing radial carved channels that catch and reflect light at different angles depending on viewing position. The silver leaf finish is applied over the carved surface, creating a textured metallic border approximately 17cm wide around the bevelled mirror glass.

Designed as a feature mirror for hallways, above sideboards in living rooms, or as a dressing mirror in bedrooms, the Aurora works in spaces with at least 120cm of clear wall width to accommodate the 100cm diameter plus visual breathing room. The 18.6kg weight requires secure wall fixing into masonry or timber studs rather than plasterboard alone. The 2.5cm depth keeps the mirror close to the wall, avoiding excessive projection into the room.

The carved channels in the silver leaf frame create variable light reflection across the border, so the frame appears to shift tone depending on ambient light direction and intensity. At 18.6kg, the mirror requires wall fixings rated for at least 20kg. Fix into masonry using wall plugs and screws, or into timber studs behind plasterboard. Plasterboard-only fixings are not suitable for this weight. The mirror has fixing points on the rear, and professional installation is recommended.
