Aura Small Flush Wall & Ceiling Light - White

The Aura is a 120mm diameter flush-mount ceiling and wall light combining a matt grey aluminium cylinder housing with a white diffuser ring. A single GX53 lamp (sold separately) sits behind the white acrylic diffuser, casting even light downwards or outwards depending on whether the fitting is ceiling or wall-mounted. The IP44 rating makes this fitting suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor porches, and any indoor space where moisture resistance is needed.

Designed for low-ceiling applications, hallways, cloakrooms and bathrooms where recessed downlights are impractical, the Aura projects approximately 60mm from the mounting surface and surface-mounts to a standard circular junction box. The cylindrical grey housing sits proud of the ceiling or wall, with the white diffuser forming the light aperture. The compact 120mm diameter means multiple Aura fittings can be spaced at 800-1000mm centres along corridors or used in pairs flanking bathroom mirrors without overwhelming the space.

The aluminium housing is powder-coated in a low-sheen matt grey that pairs with both modern neutral interiors and darker industrial-style finishes. The GX53 lamp format is a low-profile twist-and-lock fitting commonly used in surface-mount downlights, available in LED versions from 3W to 11W and colour temperatures from 2700K warm white to 4000K cool white. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmable GX53 LED and trailing-edge dimmer.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating means the fitting is protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. Do not install within 600mm of a shower head or directly above a bath (zone 1) unless a higher IP rating is specified.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a GX53 lamp, which is a low-profile twist-and-lock format. GX53 LED lamps are sold separately and are available in wattages from 3W to 11W and colour temperatures from 2700K warm white to 4000K cool white. Choose a dimmable GX53 LED if you plan to use a dimmer switch.

How is it fitted?

The Aura surface-mounts to a standard circular junction box on the ceiling or wall. The base plate fixes to the junction box with screws, the lamp is inserted into the GX53 socket, and the grey aluminium housing clips over the base to conceal the wiring.

What projection does it have from the ceiling?

The fitting projects approximately 60mm from the mounting surface. This makes it suitable for low ceilings where recessed downlights cannot be installed due to insufficient void depth above the ceiling.
